Servus Credit Union is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support their Data Analytics team in Calgary.
The position is full-time and temporary for 15 months, closing on July 30, 2025, at 4:00 pm MST.
The analyst will interact with all levels of the organization and leverage analytics services to meet business needs and objectives.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining business intelligence dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support decision-making processes.
The role involves extracting, cleaning, and analyzing data from various sources to identify trends and generate actionable insights.
The analyst will design, transform, and prepare data for reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business intelligence needs.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to define reporting requirements is essential.
The analyst will assist with data quality checks and validation during development and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Ensuring consistency in KPIs, metrics, and business logic across reporting assets is a key responsibility.
The role includes maintaining documentation of data definitions, logic, and reporting assets in a central repository.
The analyst will identify opportunities to optimize existing reporting processes and propose innovative solutions to improve data visualization and reporting capabilities.
Requirements:
A post-secondary education in computer technology or an IT-related discipline from an accredited institution is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in a Business Intelligence development role.
Hands-on design and development experience using Power BI and SQL is mandatory.
Familiarity with Databricks, dbt, and SSRS is considered an asset.
Experience in data modeling, data governance, and report migration is desirable.
