  • Servus Credit Union is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support their Data Analytics team in Calgary.
  • The position is full-time and temporary for 15 months, closing on July 30, 2025, at 4:00 pm MST.
  • The analyst will interact with all levels of the organization and leverage analytics services to meet business needs and objectives.
  • Responsibilities include developing and maintaining business intelligence dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support decision-making processes.
  • The role involves extracting, cleaning, and analyzing data from various sources to identify trends and generate actionable insights.
  • The analyst will design, transform, and prepare data for reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business intelligence needs.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to define reporting requirements is essential.
  • The analyst will assist with data quality checks and validation during development and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Ensuring consistency in KPIs, metrics, and business logic across reporting assets is a key responsibility.
  • The role includes maintaining documentation of data definitions, logic, and reporting assets in a central repository.
  • The analyst will identify opportunities to optimize existing reporting processes and propose innovative solutions to improve data visualization and reporting capabilities.

Requirements:

  • A post-secondary education in computer technology or an IT-related discipline from an accredited institution is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in a Business Intelligence development role.
  • Hands-on design and development experience using Power BI and SQL is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Databricks, dbt, and SSRS is considered an asset.
  • Experience in data modeling, data governance, and report migration is desirable.
