The Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) program allows organizations to securely use Linux distributions and software languages that have reached the end of life.
The company is seeking a Senior C Developer to join the Endless Lifecycle Support team.
In this role, the developer will backport security fixes to stable versions of projects and contribute to major open-source projects such as Apache HTTPD, OpenSSL, and MySQL.
Responsibilities include backporting security and bug fixes, creating reproductions and tests for vulnerabilities, contributing to upstream projects, and automating routine processes.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of experience with C programming is required.
Proficiency in GNU/Linux operating systems and shell scripting is necessary.
Experience with build systems such as autotools, make, and cmake is required.
Familiarity with git-based development workflows is essential.
Knowledge of additional programming languages such as C++, C#, or Rust is a plus.
Experience with Python or other scripting languages is advantageous.
Experience with Linux debuggers (gdb, ftrace, probes, bpf, etc.) is a plus.
