Remote C++ Software Engineer, Remote Assist

Description:

• Stack is developing revolutionary AI and advanced autonomous systems to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency in modern operations, particularly in the trucking transportation industry.
• The Remote Assist team focuses on accelerating the delivery of self-driving systems, improving freight shipment arrival times, and enhancing the behavior of autonomous trucks.
• The team delivers tools for human operators to assist the self-driving system in complex situations, working on user interfaces, cloud infrastructure, live video streaming, and new autonomy capabilities.
• Responsibilities include owning the onboard Remote Assist system, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to various aspects of the onboard system, and managing complex testing and data streaming capabilities.
• The role requires participation in on-call rotations and quarterly travel to the headquarters in Pittsburgh.

Requirements:

• A BS or MS in Computer Science or a closely related field is required.
• Candidates must have 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Strong C++ programming skills and experience with large production-grade codebases are essential.
• Experience in leading the delivery of critical software systems is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or related fields.
• Experience with simulation testing and automated testing is required.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are a must.
