Platform Science is seeking a talented and experienced Cash Application Analyst to join their team in North America.
The role involves performing day-to-day cash application activities including cash posting, offsets, write-offs per policy, customer refunds, month-end activities, and handling questions from both internal and external customers.
Essential responsibilities include posting manual checks, wire transfers, and ACH deposits, processing credit card transactions, researching invoices for cash application, processing customer refund requests, reconciling general ledger accounts, performing daily offsets, and collaborating with the North America Credit & Collections team.
The analyst will also be responsible for performing month-end and quarter-end responsibilities within the agreed timeline.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
Candidates should have approximately 3-5 years of direct experience in a multi-currency cash application team and experience working closely with a credit & collections team.
A solid understanding of generally accepted accounting standards and general accounting procedures is necessary.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using an ERP system, payment gateways, and various banking platforms.
Strong analytical, math, and account reconciliation skills are required, along with high proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills must be clearly demonstrated in prior experience.
Preferred qualifications include a CPA or MBA and strong proficiency with NetSuite and various banking platforms.
