Description:

• The position is for a mid-senior level DevOps Engineer to support a major CI pipeline migration effort.
• The role involves moving application repositories off legacy CI tools and onto GitHub Actions paved road pipelines.
• Responsibilities include translating existing pipelines using internal guides, debugging build issues, and collaborating with developers.
• This is a fully remote W-2 contract opportunity, with compensation between $50-55/hr.
• The engagement duration is approximately 6-7 months, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
• The work is hands-on and requires dedication to the role without concurrent job engagements.
• A remote on-camera policy is in place during working hours, including meetings and collaboration sessions.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3–5+ years of professional experience in DevOps / Infrastructure.
• Hands-on expertise in CI/CD tools such as Concourse, TeamCity, or Jenkins is required, with experience in at least one.
• Proficiency in GitHub Actions is necessary.
• Experience with build tooling like Maven, Gradle, and related build scripts is required.
• Candidates should have scripting skills in Bash, JavaScript, Groovy, and YAML.
• Familiarity with GitHub and Git-based workflows is essential.
• Knowledge of Docker and general containerization is required.
• Strong debugging skills, particularly around build failures and pipeline migrations, are necessary.
• Experience in deploying applications from code to production (build, scan, containerize, deploy) is required.
• Familiarity with working in large codebases with complex dependencies is a nice to have.
• Previous work in regulated environments (e.g., handling PCI/PII compliance) is also a nice to have.
• Candidates should possess soft skills such as being a proactive problem solver, working well independently, and being detail-oriented.
