  • The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimise both AWS cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Responsibilities include troubleshooting performance issues, ensuring security, and providing technical support across various environments.
  • The role involves compliance initiatives, supporting adherence to industry standards such as GDPR and PCI DSS.
  • Key tasks include managing AWS resources, overseeing VMware environments, implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies, performing routine patching, and conducting operational checks.
  • The engineer will troubleshoot complex performance issues, provide support for M365 and Active Directory, monitor infrastructure health, and ensure robust security controls.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar infrastructure, AWS, or cloud engineering role.
  • Extensive experience with AWS services, including EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, and security configurations is required.
  • Strong hands-on experience with VMware environments and proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux server operating systems is essential.
  • Experience with backup and monitoring solutions such as Veeam B&R, PRTG, and Dynatrace is necessary.
  • A solid understanding of networking technologies and security best practices, particularly with Cisco and WatchGuard, is required.
  • Candidates should have experience working in environments subject to GDPR and PCI DSS compliance standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration across teams and for communicating technical issues.
