The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimise both AWS cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting performance issues, ensuring security, and providing technical support across various environments.
The role involves compliance initiatives, supporting adherence to industry standards such as GDPR and PCI DSS.
Key tasks include managing AWS resources, overseeing VMware environments, implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies, performing routine patching, and conducting operational checks.
The engineer will troubleshoot complex performance issues, provide support for M365 and Active Directory, monitor infrastructure health, and ensure robust security controls.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar infrastructure, AWS, or cloud engineering role.
Extensive experience with AWS services, including EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, and security configurations is required.
Strong hands-on experience with VMware environments and proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux server operating systems is essential.
Experience with backup and monitoring solutions such as Veeam B&R, PRTG, and Dynatrace is necessary.
A solid understanding of networking technologies and security best practices, particularly with Cisco and WatchGuard, is required.
Candidates should have experience working in environments subject to GDPR and PCI DSS compliance standards.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential.
Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration across teams and for communicating technical issues.
