The position is for a Cloud Architect at Whitespace, which is a remote role based in Alexandria, VA.
The candidate must be eligible for clearance and must be a U.S. citizen residing in the contiguous United States.
The Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions in the AWS environment.
Responsibilities include developing cloud strategies, overseeing application and data migration to the cloud, and ensuring the cloud infrastructure is secure and compliant.
The role requires collaboration with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
The position is 100% remote for candidates outside a fifty-mile radius of the corporate office and reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of related experience in cloud computing.
Expert-level knowledge of AWS services with proven ability to design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions.
A deep understanding of cloud computing concepts and major cloud services.
Strong knowledge of networking principles, security protocols, and best practices for cloud environments.
Experience in designing and implementing complex systems, including cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
Extensive skills in cloud migration and data management, focusing on data privacy and security.
Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
