The Fanatical Support for Azure team provides industry-leading Fanatical Support™ to Rackspace customers as part of a global team.
Rackspace is hiring Azure Cloud Engineers to deliver Fanatical Support with Microsoft Azure.
Fanatical Support for Azure includes a wide range of services and features to help customers optimize their hosting strategy.
You will help customers optimize their workloads by providing application-focused assistance to build, deploy, integrate, scale, and heal using native Azure and third-party tool-chains and automation-oriented agile principles.
You will be responsible for supporting customers with tasks including provisioning and modifying Cloud environments, performing upgrades, and addressing day-to-day customer deployment issues via phone and tickets.
The role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong customer-oriented professional skills.
Responsibilities include working with a talented team, automating PAAS and IAAS deployments, architecting Azure best practices, creating automation tools, educating customers, assisting in technical training, acting as an escalation point for support engineers, and providing a continuous Fanatical Support experience.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of experience working with Azure and executing cloud deployments.
A working knowledge of Azure Resources and Services, Scaling, Load Balancing, CDNs, and Networking is required.
Experience automating and orchestrating workloads on Azure is necessary.
You should have experience creating Terraform and/or ARM templates.
Proficiency in scripting, specifically PowerShell and Bash, is required.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory is necessary.
You must have experience working with at least one of the following languages: C#, JSON, or Python.
Familiarity with GIT, VSTS, and Terraform is required.
Experience with KQL for alert creation and modifications is necessary.
You should be proficient in leveraging CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment.
Experience in Azure services and APIs is required.
Strong Windows skills are necessary.
Knowledge of databases, specifically SQL Server and MySQL, is required.
A working knowledge of Backup and Recovery methodology and implementations is necessary.
Knowledge of supported network appliances and related solutions in Azure, such as F5, Cisco, and Palo Alto, is preferred.
Knowledge of Azure federation services is preferred.
A good understanding of application development using Agile and DevOps best practices is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, with the ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You must be effective with time management and expected deliverables.
An ability to multi-task and work on multiple concurrent projects is required.
You must have Azure 900 & 104 Certifications.
You should be ready to work in a 24x7 environment, in all available shifts.
