The Cloud Engineer develops and enhances services and offerings on a cloud platform in a customer-oriented manner.
The holder of the position plans, implements, and maintains a stable technical infrastructure to support the organization’s business processes.
Key responsibilities include solving complex problems in the daily operation of a hyper-scaler's cloud backend.
The engineer will develop and operate monitoring and quality assurance systems.
Consistent automation with common automation frameworks is required.
The role involves setting up and supporting various cloud platforms to meet production requirements.
The engineer will work in a highly dynamic environment that reflects the latest cloud technology trends.
Support for the development of cloud-native applications or migration of traditional application landscapes to cloud-native forms is expected.
The position includes implementing new technologies/services or upgrades to existing technologies to support production operations.
Regular inspections and improvement recommendations must be proposed and performed.
The engineer will evaluate, authorize, prioritize, plan, test, implement, document, and review complex changes in a controlled manner.
Assessing the actual performance of IT infrastructure against its predicted performance is necessary, with proactive remediation of any deviations, potentially involving vendors.
The role requires creating and maintaining technical documentation to support IT services.
Identifying weaknesses in used processes and eliminating them following industry and internal standards is also part of the job.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in OS administration and shell scripting is required.
In-depth proficiency in cloud knowledge and agile development for at least 3 years is necessary.
Additional experience of 1-2 years in containerization, DevOps, information security technologies, RESTful API, data center hardware, programming, network understanding, and version control is preferred.
An upper intermediate level of English (B2) is required for this position.
