At Uni Systems, we are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our UniQue team.
The role involves supporting the Institution in cloud automation projects in collaboration with international stakeholders.
You will provide technical support for large-scale exercises, simulations, and related events organized by the institution and partner organizations.
The position requires contributing to the development of software automation code using Terraform, Ansible, and/or Helm for these events.
You will perform cloud administration tasks on AWS (with GitOps practices) and across multiple Microsoft Azure tenants.
The role includes contributing to the planning and organizational aspects of upcoming experimentation activities.
Participation in bi-weekly project meetings is also expected.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, along with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong expertise in IT automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within cloud environments is necessary, with hands-on experience in tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
Practical experience with containerization technologies and orchestrators, including Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes/OpenShift, is required.
Solid experience in Linux and Windows system administration is essential.
Proficiency in one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) is needed, and a related Professional Cloud Certification will be considered an asset.
A strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, particularly in designing landing zones and cloud network architectures, is required.
In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and cloud networking technologies is necessary.
Experience working with cryptographic technologies, including key management (PKI), encryption algorithms (e.g., AES), and encryption in transit (TLS), is required.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, methodologies, and toolchains is essential.
Strong documentation skills, with the ability to produce detailed technical specifications and architecture diagrams, are necessary.
Good knowledge of written and spoken English is required, at a B2 level.
