Description:

  • NiCE is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to build a critical function focused on proactively monitoring data processing pipelines for customers.
  • The role involves identifying and addressing data gaps before they impact customer experience.
  • The engineer will work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, responsible for monitoring, automating, and supporting a mission-critical data ingestion module.
  • Responsibilities include daily monitoring of systems to ensure correct data processing, ensuring timely data processing, reviewing data ingestion and alert generation, executing manual monitoring tasks, identifying data gaps, performing trend analysis, automating tasks using scripting, managing change processes, creating a technical knowledge base, providing hands-on support for AWS/Azure environments, collaborating with various teams, solving complex customer data problems, building internal tools, driving customer communication during critical events, and providing on-call support in a 24×7 shift environment.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3–4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in managing Application Support for 2-tier/3-tier applications is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
  • Experience in handling complex application performance issues is necessary.
  • Proficiency in managing containerized/cloud-based applications, particularly AWS services like EC2, S3, and VPN, is required.
  • Experience in Monitoring/Operations or Infrastructure Operations teams is needed.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills are a must.
  • OS-level knowledge in either Windows or Linux is required.
  • Database skills in SQL, Oracle, Postgres, and Cassandra are necessary.
  • Middleware experience with Tomcat, WebLogic, or WebSphere is required.
  • Candidates should be able to identify root causes of performance issues and mitigate bottlenecks.
  • Exposure to scripting languages such as Ansible, Perl, Python, Ruby, Shell, and PowerShell is necessary.
  • Familiarity with tools like OpsGenie, Nagios, and Rundeck is required.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud/application-level security is necessary.
  • A background in the Banking & Financial domain is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile/Sprint development models is preferred.
