Appspace is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join their dynamic team.
This is a crucial customer-facing role focused on designing, implementing, and securing complex cloud environments across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), with a strong emphasis on GCP.
The role involves leveraging expertise in SaaS security, network security, and compliance to provide strategic guidance and hands-on support for clients' cloud infrastructures.
Responsibilities include designing and optimizing cloud security architectures, responding to customer inquiries, managing firewalls and WAFs, integrating and optimizing SIEM, providing guidance on SaaS security best practices, leading compliance initiatives, engaging with customers, supporting incident response, managing vulnerability assessments, and staying updated on emerging cloud security threats.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 4+ years specializing in cloud security engineering.
Proven ability to lead and support comprehensive security programs, including compliance, risk, operations, and engineering is required.
Deep hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security tools and practices is essential, along with practical experience securing environments in Microsoft Azure and AWS.
A strong background in SaaS security and advanced scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation are necessary.
Candidates should have a solid grasp of network security concepts, proficiency with SIEM platforms, and experience managing cloud-native and third-party firewalls.
Familiarity with key compliance frameworks and strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders are required.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Statistics, Risk Management, or a related field is necessary, along with a CISSP certification.
