ClickHouse is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Observability team, which builds and operates the telemetry platform for internal monitoring and customer observability features.
The systems managed by the team ingest trillions of events daily, with throughput in the tens of millions per second.
Engineers on the team are hybrid software, systems, and infrastructure engineers focused on ensuring the platform's reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
The role involves close collaboration with product and infrastructure teams and participation in major engineering initiatives across the company.
Candidates should thrive in fast-paced environments, be hands-on during incidents, and possess a mindset geared towards automation.
The position requires tackling complex challenges in system design, infrastructure, automation, and incident response.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience building and running production systems at scale.
Proficiency in at least one systems-level programming language is required; ClickHouse primarily uses Go, but C++, Rust, and Python are also acceptable.
Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working with at least one major cloud provider, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar observability tools is expected.
Experience with ClickHouse is a plus.
