  • The studio is looking for a Contract Senior VFX Artist to join their team for an unannounced ultra fun game that is early in development.
  • This role involves creating real-time visual effects that enhance gameplay, characters, and UI, contributing to the game's tone, rhythm, and visual language.
  • The position is a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension or evolution into a full-time role.
  • Responsibilities include designing high-quality stylized VFX, collaborating with various teams, using Unity and proprietary tools, and maintaining performance across devices.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have 5+ years of experience as a VFX artist in games or interactive media.
  • Experience creating real-time VFX for one or more shipped, high-quality games is required.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing stylized, readable effects and great timing is necessary.
  • Proficiency with Unity and common VFX tools like Photoshop, Houdini, and Blender (or equivalent applications) is essential.
  • A solid understanding of gameplay readability, timing, and flow is required.
  • Candidates must have the ability to model and UV.
  • Comfort working across mobile, PC, and/or console pipelines is necessary.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a low-ego, high-trust mindset are essential.
