The Corporate Solutions Engineer will partner with the DACH Sales team to promote an API-first development culture and nurture customer relationships.
The role involves guiding Postman users on effectively leveraging the platform to build their APIs.
Responsibilities include driving corporate sales, conducting technical demos, handling technical questions, and understanding customer workflows.
The position requires creating proof of concept integrations and maintaining customer sandbox environments.
The role is supported by Sales, Customer Success, Developer Relations, and Engineering teams.
Requirements:
A minimum of 1+ years of corporate sales or solutions engineering experience is required.
At least 2+ years of software development experience is necessary.
An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is required.
Candidates must have customer-facing experience and be comfortable engaging with various levels of technologists.
Experience in engaging senior management and executive audiences to convey Postman's value proposition is essential.
A strong understanding of APIs and experience with producing and consuming APIs across different domains is required.
Familiarity with modern development methodologies and DevOps, as well as the software development life cycle, is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable with the enterprise SaaS sales process and common security concerns of cloud services.
Experience executing enterprise sales strategies and methodologies like MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, and Command of the Message is preferred.
Excellent listening skills and the ability to understand customer needs are essential.
Familiarity with typical developer tooling such as IDEs, Git, CI/CD, and cloud computing services is required.
Candidates should be fast learners, excited to learn new technology, and enjoy teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
