  • Supabase is an open source database-as-a-service platform seeking a Customer Solutions Architect (CSA) to drive adoption across various customers, from startups to established brands.
  • CSAs are responsible for the entire customer journey, working closely with valuable users to uncover business and technical requirements, design technical solutions, lead proof-of-value implementations, and provide regular customer engagements.
  • Successful CSAs prioritize customer needs, acting as trusted advisors and advocating for customers within Supabase.
  • The role includes responsibilities in pre-sales discovery, proof-of-value onboarding, and customer success.
  • In pre-sales discovery, CSAs lead technical discovery, design and present platform demonstrations, and collaborate with the Growth team to size deals and identify workloads.
  • During proof-of-value onboarding, CSAs collaborate with customers to define technical scope, set timelines and success criteria, and guide customers through onboarding.
  • For customer success, CSAs understand customer goals, deliver engagements, serve as internal champions, and build trust-based relationships with customers.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have 6+ years of relevant work experience in Solutions Architecture, Database Engineering, or similar fields.
  • A strong background with relational database management systems such as PostgreSQL or MySQL is required.
  • Experience in web application development, particularly with Python, C#, and popular JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte) as well as Node.js is preferred.
  • Very strong communication skills are essential, particularly in translating business needs to technical outcomes and vice versa.
  • Candidates must be well-organized, effective storytellers, and possess meaningful interpersonal skills to navigate multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management, business analysis, and revenue operations tools like HubSpot and BigQuery is beneficial.
  • Previous experience leading customer-facing engagements to deliver technical and business value is required.
