Forward Networks is looking for a Customer Success Engineer to provide world-class post-sales technical leadership to its client base.
The role involves creating a category and helping build a special company that has been in the market for over 5 years with notable clients including top Federal agencies and Fortune 500/Global 2000 companies.
Requirements:
A B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent educational experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of customer-facing experience in a post-sales engineer role for a networking company, relevant software vendor, or as a network engineer for a large enterprise, service provider, or governmental agencies.
A strong understanding of Networking and Security fundamentals is essential.
Experience working with multiple network vendors such as A10, Arista, Cisco, F5, Fortinet, Juniper, and Palo Alto Networks is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques are necessary, along with superior presentation skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide quick resolution to problems, are required.
Demonstrable success in thinking strategically and executing tactically while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and retention in a fast-paced environment is expected.
Highly desired qualifications include one or more of the following certificates: CCIE, JNCIE, or VCDX, experience working for a startup company, and working knowledge of API-driven workflows and scripting languages such as Python, bash, jq, and graphql.

The position offers a remote work opportunity with a travel requirement of 10-20% for customer and internal meetings.
The ideal candidate will be located in the Central region of the US.
The compensation for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location, with a starting base salary plus bonus expected to be between $165,000/yr to $190,000/yr for candidates who receive an offer at the posted level.
The offered compensation may also include stock options.
