Remote Cyber Security Engineer

• Your mission will involve the systematic detection and mitigation of threats in a diverse environment with thousands of systems in Arsys and IONOS.
• Drive the implementation of proactive and reactive measures to protect internal infrastructure.
• Understand the detection and evaluation of security incidents, analyze them, and suggest suitable protective measures.
• Daily tasks include working on the security monitoring system (SIEM), maintaining and updating it, and performing administrative tasks.
• Write web application firewall rules, test them, and support in resolving false positives.
• Advise internal customers on selecting suitable protective measures and support their implementation.

Requirements:

• In-depth experience in the field of cyber security is essential for this challenging position.
• Solid hands-on knowledge of cyber security is required.
• Good experience in security analysis, including detection, analysis, evaluation, mitigation, and prevention, is necessary.
• Familiarity with relevant tools, such as Splunk, and the ability to instruct others in their use is important.
• Experience in analyzing vulnerabilities in common web applications like WordPress and its plugins is preferred.
• Ideally, candidates should have experience with scripting languages such as Python to automate processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good English skills, quality awareness, personal responsibility, and the ability to work in a team are essential.
