Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in data/software engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with multiple database systems such as Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake, Postgres, Redshift, or Databricks is necessary.
  • At least 2 years of experience in designing and building complex ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and schema design is required.
  • Advanced SQL expertise and a strong advocacy for data quality are essential.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and object-oriented programming languages (Java, Python, Ruby, etc.) is needed.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or Scala and a passion for writing clean, supportable code are required.
  • High proficiency in building BI solutions using at least one data visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.) is necessary.
  • Experience with one of the major cloud technology providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) is required.
  • Familiarity with code collaboration and repository management tools (Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab, etc.) is necessary.
  • Experience with data transfer technologies (APIs, Pub/Sub, etc.) is required.
  • Deep experience implementing various data warehousing concepts and methodologies, including snapshotting, incremental data loads, SCDs, and star schemas is necessary.
  • Experience with Databricks is preferred, and familiarity with healthcare data is a plus.
  • Candidates should possess analytical aptitude to think through business problems and metric development.
