Leadtech is seeking a Data Analyst – Payments Specialist to support their payments strategy during a critical expansion phase.
The role involves driving data-led insights, optimizing payment performance, and enhancing fraud prevention.
Key responsibilities include investigating anomalies in payments data, using advanced Excel skills to analyze transactions, ensuring data accuracy, identifying trends in payment failures, and implementing consumer data acquisition strategies.
The analyst will also build consumer segmentation models, respond to data analysis requests, prepare transactional data for analysis, and contribute to reporting on payments KPIs.
The position requires collaboration with various teams to embed data quality controls and create metrics and dashboards for monitoring payment success and fraud incidents.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, specifically in payments, fraud, or transactional data.
Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets and relational databases are required.
Proficiency in BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and Excel is necessary.
A solid understanding of digital payment systems, chargebacks, fraud indicators, and payment service providers (PSPs) is essential.
Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data quality best practices is expected.
Familiarity with Python, R, or statistical tools (SPSS, SAS) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are crucial.
Candidates must be able to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A proactive, well-organized, and adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment is required.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Computer Science) is required.
