The Data Analyst Internship is a cross-disciplinary role that combines instructional and technical responsibilities.
Interns will work with educators to validate and iterate models that drive analytics.
Data Analysts will develop an understanding of algorithms, technologies, platforms, and proprietary educational content.
This knowledge will be synthesized into actionable tests to create modules that identify the academic needs of individual students.
Interns will collaborate with team members who think creatively to improve education through data infrastructure and insightful analytics.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess creative problem-solving skills, strong math/quantitative skills, and attention to detail.
A background in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science is required.
Applicants should be able to brainstorm ways to use the product to collect data that provides insights into student needs.
Experience with SQL, Pandas, or other fast analysis languages is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in data analysis or building pipeline tools in Python.
A coding background and a strong interest in technology are essential.
Advanced Excel skills are required, including proficiency in advanced formulas, tables and formatting, conditional formatting, advanced charting, pivot tables, pivot reporting, VBA, and macros.
Candidates should be able to use Excel productively, including data tables, simulations, and Solver.
