Description:

  • The Data Analyst, Revenue will support Sierra Club’s revenue teams by analyzing donation patterns, donors, and prospective donors to enhance revenue.
  • This role involves creating engaging self-service reports and dashboards that present data and insights in meaningful ways.
  • The analyst will collaborate with fundraising and donor data management staff to promote a culture of data-informed decision-making.
  • Key job activities include developing and distributing regular revenue reports, dashboards, and forecasts for major giving, analyzing revenue streams and donor segments, and preparing ad-hoc reports as requested by leadership.
  • The analyst will conduct in-depth analyses of donors to identify prospective mid-level and major donors and segment donors for targeted outreach strategies.
  • Responsibilities also include assisting with data management tasks such as data imports, exports, and ensuring data accuracy within Salesforce and other systems.
  • The role requires documenting current data processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements related to data collection and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a relevant data and analytics role, focusing on producing meaningful insights.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience using common fundraising CRMs for revenue tracking and reporting is required.
  • Proficiency in creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Looker Studio is essential.
  • Candidates must be skilled in SQL for creating and extracting custom data sets from multiple tables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, charts, and pivot tables, is necessary.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are required.
  • Candidates should possess strong organizational skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams is important.
  • A commitment to understanding systems of oppression and a constructive, uplifting attitude are essential qualities for the candidate.

Benefits:

  • The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
