The Data Analyst, Revenue will support Sierra Club’s revenue teams by analyzing donation patterns, donors, and prospective donors to enhance revenue.
This role involves creating engaging self-service reports and dashboards that present data and insights in meaningful ways.
The analyst will collaborate with fundraising and donor data management staff to promote a culture of data-informed decision-making.
Key job activities include developing and distributing regular revenue reports, dashboards, and forecasts for major giving, analyzing revenue streams and donor segments, and preparing ad-hoc reports as requested by leadership.
The analyst will conduct in-depth analyses of donors to identify prospective mid-level and major donors and segment donors for targeted outreach strategies.
Responsibilities also include assisting with data management tasks such as data imports, exports, and ensuring data accuracy within Salesforce and other systems.
The role requires documenting current data processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements related to data collection and reporting.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a relevant data and analytics role, focusing on producing meaningful insights.
A minimum of 2 years of experience using common fundraising CRMs for revenue tracking and reporting is required.
Proficiency in creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Looker Studio is essential.
Candidates must be skilled in SQL for creating and extracting custom data sets from multiple tables.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, charts, and pivot tables, is necessary.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are required.
Candidates should possess strong organizational skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams is important.

Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
