The Data Engineer will play a critical role in the full platform transformation from a legacy data center to a modern cloud-based architecture.
Responsibilities include data modeling and calculation, maintaining and optimizing existing ETL jobs and reporting pipelines, and designing scalable, cloud-native data processing workflows.
The role involves conducting data validation and quality assurance, documenting data calculation logic, and collaborating with various teams to ensure data delivery aligns with stakeholder needs.
The Data Engineer will contribute to defining and implementing GDPR-compliant data architectures and play a key role in transitioning from legacy systems to the new cloud environment.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 3–5+ years of experience in data engineering, ideally in cloud migration contexts.
Strong skills in Python and SQL are required; experience with Dremio, Pandas, and Jupyter is a plus.
Proven hands-on experience with Kafka, Airflow, and Linux shell scripting is necessary.
Familiarity with cloud-native platforms such as AWS S3, BigQuery, and Glue is expected.
Understanding of CI/CD tools like GitLab, Ansible, and Docker is important.
Candidates must be detail-oriented, quality-focused, and self-driven with strong documentation habits.
A working proficiency in German (B2 at least) is mandatory, and candidates should be comfortable working in bilingual teams.
