Description:
Firecrawl is seeking a Data Engineer/Analyst to be the first data hire and engineer the company's data nervous system.
The role involves setting up Firecrawl's data infrastructure for a rapidly scaling organization.
Responsibilities include designing schemas, optimizing queries, and automating workflows using tools like N8N and API integrations.
The position requires cross-team collaboration to impact product analytics, growth metrics, and revenue insights.
The candidate will build an AI-first infrastructure that supports autonomous decision-making.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a SQL wizard with advanced querying skills.
Experience in an early-stage startup during rapid growth is essential, specifically as the first or only data hire or leading the data function.
The candidate must have handled scale by designing or maintaining infrastructure for datasets with over 100 million rows.
Proficiency in workflow automation and API integrations using code, Zapier, N8N, or similar tools is required.
Familiarity with LLM-native tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and Devin is necessary.
A generalist mindset is important, with a willingness to work across the full stack, including web development and data analytics.
Previous experience setting up a data stack with tools like Airflow, dbt, Postgres, Snowflake, and BI tooling like Hex is required.
Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $240,000, based on impact rather than tenure.
