The company specializes in Data & Analytics, Intelligent Automation, IT Modernization, and Application Development.
They are expanding their federal team and seeking a Data Engineer to join them.
This position is currently 100% remote.
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance.
The Data Engineer will support client data initiatives focusing on database development, data mapping, migration, and data warehouse optimization.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle, SQL, SQL Server, and data transformation techniques.
While experience with Power BI is a plus, the primary focus is on designing, implementing, and optimizing data models, mappings, and pipelines that drive business analytics and reporting.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining complex data mappings and transformations, designing and enhancing data models, participating in the full data lifecycle, acting as a business analyst, engineering scalable solutions, documenting requirements and processes, contributing to change management, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and troubleshooting data issues.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or analytics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, and SQL Server is necessary.
Experience in data warehousing, data migration, and data transformation techniques is essential.
A solid understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and performance tuning is required.
The ability to interpret and analyze complex datasets and convert them into actionable insights is necessary.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Oracle BI is preferred, with Power BI being the top choice.
Strong communication skills are required, with the ability to present technical data clearly to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Experience documenting data processes and producing deliverables like data flow diagrams, user guides, and technical specifications is necessary.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-based environment are required.
