As a Data Engineer, you will join a diverse team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge data tools that support BetterHelp's rapid growth.
Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing solutions for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and accessibility for diverse data consumers across the organization.
You will collaborate with BI & Analytics Engineers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists to tackle complex data challenges and make informed architectural decisions.
Responsibilities include designing and maintaining modern data platforms, developing data pipelines, delivering analytical insights, and ensuring data quality and compliance.
You will work with a modern data stack including Airflow, Snowflake, dbt, and AWS services.
The role allows for remote work with occasional travel to the San Jose office for team bonding.
Requirements:
A BSc/MA in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or Engineering is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role is necessary.
At least 3 years of experience developing data pipelines and solutions using Python is required.
Advanced SQL skills and experience building performant tables in OLAP warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery are essential.
Experience with Python-based workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow is required.
Familiarity with frameworks for building complex data models, preferably dimensional modeling frameworks, is necessary.
Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS is required.
Experience with BI Tools such as Looker or Tableau is necessary.
Excellent communication, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills are required.
Ability to design and implement data solutions in accordance with data privacy, governance, and security measures is essential.
Experience using git for version control is required.
