Requirements:

  • You must have solid experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-centric engineering role.
  • A proven track record in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines using Databricks is required.
  • You should have a strong understanding of big data processing, including data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration in cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in Python or Scala for building robust and efficient ETL/ELT workflows is necessary.
  • A solid grasp of data modeling best practices, such as star and snowflake schemas and normalization, is essential, along with experience handling large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets.
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying, data transformation, and performance optimization are required.
  • Familiarity with Delta Lake, Lakehouse architecture, and data versioning techniques within Databricks is expected.
  • Experience integrating Databricks with cloud storage platforms such as Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, or Google Cloud Storage is necessary.
  • An understanding of CI/CD practices in data engineering, including version control and orchestration tools like Airflow or Azure Data Factory, is required.
