  • Our client is seeking a Data Engineer with a strong Python development background to build data pipelines from scratch.
  • This role is essential for shaping the data infrastructure that supports AI-driven insurance analytics and risk exchange platforms.
  • Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining robust, metadata-driven data pipelines for both batch and real-time processing.
  • The Data Engineer will ingest, transform, and cleanse diverse datasets from internal sources, partners, and third-party providers.
  • The role involves developing and supporting cloud-based infrastructure, APIs, and data services that drive the company's SaaS platform and analytics.
  • Ensuring data quality through effective monitoring, metrics, validation, and DataOps practices is a critical responsibility.
  • Collaboration with product managers, data scientists, analysts, and engineers is necessary to understand data needs and deliver scalable, performant solutions.
  • Continuous refinement of pipelines for improved performance, scalability, and reliability is expected.

Requirements:

  • A proven experience as a Python Developer for 3–5 years or more, with a clear progression into data engineering is required.
  • Hands-on experience in building data pipelines from scratch using Python is essential.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with modern data stack tools are necessary.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is required to align with the company's tech environment.
  • A solid understanding of DataOps methodologies and tools is essential for this position.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, or similar modern data warehousing and transformation tools is a nice-to-have.
  • Experience managing structured and unstructured datasets is preferred.
  • Exposure to AI/ML workflows or infrastructure is a plus.
  • A background in real-time data ingestion or API-based data services is also beneficial.
