The Lifetime Value Co. is seeking a Data Engineer to assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines for genealogy data products.

Responsibilities include joining a data team as an individual contributor, building scalable pipelines for large genealogy datasets, analyzing source data, and collaborating with stakeholders to clarify requirements and propose improvements.
The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs, write production-ready code, troubleshoot issues, and support internal teams relying on data services.
The position requires contributing to the design and continuous improvement of tools, workflows, and infrastructure while working with various technologies and cloud services.
Requirements:
Candidates must have prior experience in the genealogy industry, such as ancestry research or family history services.
A minimum of 4-5 years of experience using Python in a production environment is required.
Hands-on experience or familiarity with Airflow, including DAGs, operators, and scheduling, is necessary.
Experience with Docker or other OCI-compatible container frameworks is essential.
Proficiency in Git and standard version control workflows, including branches and pull requests, is required.
Candidates should have experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and be comfortable working with data formats like CSV and JSON.
Strong communication skills and an analytical mindset are essential for this role.
