As a Data Engineer, you will enhance how millions of customers connect with food experiences on our platform.
You will partner with business leaders and leverage data engineering and analytics resources to transform our data infrastructure and pipelines.
Responsibilities include collaborating with full stack engineers, machine learning engineers, data analysts, and product managers to design and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes.
You will design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data systems to ensure seamless data integration and high availability.
You will improve our data infrastructure by optimizing ingestion, storage, and retrieval processes to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning applications.
You will help define and ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices across all data workflows.
You will build and maintain data models that support business insights and operational reporting.
You will apply software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, testing, and version control, to ensure reliability and maintainability of data engineering workflows.
Requirements:
You must have 3+ years of experience in data engineering and working on large-scale data systems.
An expert level in SQL is required, with proficiency in Python preferred.
You should be skilled in dimensional and normalized data modeling and transformation using tools like dbt Cloud.
A strong understanding of cloud-based data infrastructure, preferably AWS and Snowflake, is necessary.
Experience with BI platforms like Metabase and Sigma Computing for data visualization/dashboard tools is required.
You should have experience with data ingestion and ETL pipelines, such as Fivetran.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures and real-time data streaming using tools like Confluent Kafka is important.
Proficiency in version control with Git and collaborative development on GitHub or GitLab is required.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $190,000 base salary, dependent on experience level and interview performance.
You will receive equity in the form of incentive stock options, which are vested over 4 years.
