The Data Engineer will identify and implement process improvements, such as automating manual tasks and optimizing data delivery.
The position requires constructing extraction, transformation, and loading infrastructure using SQL, Python, pyspark, and dbt.
Collaboration with executive, product, clinical, data, and design teams is essential to resolve data-related technical issues.
The engineer must ensure that pipelines are scalable, efficient, and secure.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 2–3 years of professional data-engineering experience and a graduate degree in a relevant quantitative field.
Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL is required, along with experience using dbt to build data pipelines.
Expertise with relational, NoSQL, and cloud database technologies is necessary.
Hands-on experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake and Spark SQL, is expected.
Strong knowledge of data-warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT design is essential.
Experience in performing root-cause analysis on datasets to answer business questions is required.
A proven history of manipulating and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets is necessary.
Basic understanding of performance tuning and optimization for data systems is preferred.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment is important.
Healthcare-domain experience is a plus.
Candidates should be self-motivated and take ownership of assigned tasks while seeking guidance when necessary.
