  • The Data Engineer supports data requests for data integrations and migrations, EDI or API integrations with external trading partners, Power BI visualizations, and BI development.
  • This role involves guiding projects to completion by establishing schedules and coordinating tasks required to complete, creating logical data mappings and documentation, developing data integration flows, testing data integrations with QA staff, and providing implementation support.
  • The position requires gaining a solid understanding of business requirements, industry standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance is met with internal and external partners.
  • Essential functions include maintaining EDI and API integration standards, performing set-up of new trading partners, leading API projects, developing relationships with external trading partner subject matter experts, troubleshooting transactional data exchanges, and working with others to identify system problems and recommend solutions.
  • The role also requires demonstrated experience with EDI translators, familiarity with enrollment formats and equivalent API calls, effective communication of issues to management, strong attention to detail, interfacing with business analysts and product owners, and leading or assisting in developing Boomi processes and data quality analysis.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with EDI document standards, such as the 834 or 837 specification, is required.
  • Candidates must have 3-5 years of T-SQL coding experience.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is necessary.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Power BI or similar tools in creating data models, visualizations, and transformations is required.
  • Candidates should have at least 3+ years of experience with data integration tools like Boomi, MuleSoft, or Wakato in creating EDI or API interchanges.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience with Postman for API integrations is required.
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience with Git or other Git-based source control systems is necessary.
  • Working knowledge of SFTP and PGP/GPG encryption is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Candidates must demonstrate high attention to detail when working with large volumes of data.
  • The ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines is required.
  • Candidates must be able to create relationships through phone and email correspondence.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, Adobe, XML, and JSON is necessary.

Benefits:

  • The salary range for this position is $95,000-$110,000 annually.
  • The position is remote, but only available in specific states including AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, and WA.
