Remote Data Engineer

Description:

• The Data Engineer will plan, build, and implement data solutions based on the AWS Stack.
• Responsibilities include grooming and estimating user requirements and identifying new features.
• The role involves analyzing data sources and designing and developing pipelines to ingest data using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and Glue.
• The Data Engineer will design and create ETL processes that supply the Data Warehouse.
• Preprocessing of structured and unstructured data and creating queries in databases are also part of the job.
• The position requires establishing and maintaining technical specification documentation.
• The Data Engineer will create data models using DBT.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• At least 1 year of experience developing data pipelines using AWS Lambda, Glue, PySpark, and Python is necessary.
• Strong proficiency in SQL is required.
• Candidates must have at least 1 year of hands-on experience with Redshift.
• Familiarity with data lake environments, including handling both structured and unstructured data, is essential.
• Knowledge of data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms is required.
• Experience with DBT is considered a plus.
• Upper-Intermediate English language skills (verbal and written) are necessary.
• The ability to excel in a diverse, international, and multicultural work environment is important.
• Strong communication and persuasion skills are required.
• Candidates must be capable of effectively engaging with both technical and business stakeholders.
• A proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an international project team is essential.
