As a Data Engineer at Keyloop, you will work within the Analytics Engineering team, responsible for maintaining and developing the Data Lake and existing Data Pipelines.
You will explore, analyze, and propose improvements to existing processes and tooling.
The role involves contributing to scoping and discovery exercises across the business, leveraging your expert knowledge of data and business intelligence.
You will work in a busy, multi-functional team, planning and prioritizing a variable workload while delivering to deadlines.
Reporting to the Lead Analytics Engineer, you may provide mentorship to other analysts and data engineers to support their knowledge and skills growth.
Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, collaborating with Analytics Engineers, managing the data warehouse, implementing data validation mechanisms, and documenting processes.
Requirements:
Experience with Amazon Web Services cloud platform, particularly data-related services.
Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and query optimization.
Experience in Python for data engineering tasks.
Hands-on experience with a modern data warehouse platform, such as Amazon Redshift.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT principles.
Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools and familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Understanding of data governance principles and tools.
An analytical and logical mindset, with strong time management and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and listening skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively.
