Aios Medical is seeking a Data Engineer Lead to take full ownership of their data stack.
The role involves building reliable data pipelines, making data accessible across teams, and laying the groundwork for a centralized data team.
The initial focus will be on fixing existing issues and setting up new systems, including rebuilding pipelines and syncing over 20 data sources into Redshift.
The Data Engineer Lead will make high-impact decisions regarding tooling, sync frequency, and error handling to ensure data reliability.
The position requires defining business metrics across the customer journey, working closely with the Head of Engineering, Head of Product, and Head of Growth.
This is a full-time, fully remote role with flexible working hours, requiring availability until midday Pacific Time for calls.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience working with data, including at least 2+ years focused on data engineering.
Experience in owning data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting in fast-paced environments is essential.
Proficiency in building and maintaining data pipelines that sync from multiple sources into a central warehouse, such as Redshift, is required.
Candidates should be fluent in SQL, capable of building queries from scratch, troubleshooting, and defining metrics.
A strong understanding of business metrics and the ability to break down complex data points is necessary.
Candidates must demonstrate ownership and autonomy, having experience as a solo operator or early hire.
Previous management experience is preferred, as the role involves growing a team for data engineering and analytics.

The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 per year, including equity.
