Description:

  • The Luxor team is seeking a Data Engineer to join their collaborative and fast-moving team, focusing on projects in the mining and compute industry.
  • The role involves building scalable and reliable data pipelines that provide accurate data feeds from internal and external systems.
  • Responsibilities include governing scalable and performant cloud-deployed production relational and non-relational databases, collaborating on architecture definitions, and driving data systems to be as near real-time as possible.
  • The Data Engineer will also design, document, automate, and execute test plans to ensure the quality of datasets and participate in generating and analyzing features.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience building both streaming and batch data pipelines/ETL and familiarity with design principles.
  • Expertise in Python, PostgreSQL, and PL/pgSQL development and administration of large databases with a focus on performance and production support on native cloud deployments is required.
  • Experience with scalability solutions, multi-region replication, and failover solutions is necessary.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse technologies such as Trino, Clickhouse, and Airflow is expected.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience is required.
  • A deep understanding of programming and experience with at least one programming language is essential.
  • Proficiency in the English language is mandatory.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker is preferred.
  • Candidates should have 4+ years of working experience in a relevant data field.
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology and the mining pool industry is advantageous.
  • Experience with agile development methodology is preferred.
  • Experience delivering and owning web-scale data systems in production is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, preferably redpanda and redpanda connect, is a plus.
