  • Responsibilities include analyzing and organizing raw data, building data systems and pipelines, interpreting trends, conducting complex data analysis, preparing data for modeling, building algorithms, combining information from different sources, enhancing data quality, identifying data acquisition opportunities, and developing analytical tools.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role is required.
  • Understanding of managing data pipelines as code, with experience in git and CI/CD is necessary.
  • Ability to collect, collate, cleanse, synthesize, and interpret data to derive actionable insights is essential.
  • Technical expertise in data models and data mining, with the ability to translate data into valuable insights for decision-making is required.
  • Experience with major cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or AWS (Google Cloud preferred) is necessary.
  • Deep understanding of SQL and data processing tools like dbt, along with proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is required.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, or Big Query, and the ability to build data processing products in Python is essential.
  • Desirable qualifications include experience with financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon, Capital IQ), understanding of green software practices, and the ability to communicate effectively across various boundaries.
  • A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
