We are looking for a Semi Senior Data Engineer specialized in data quality and information governance.
The candidate should have experience ensuring the integrity, traceability, and reliability of data throughout its lifecycle.
This role will combine technical skills in data engineering (ETL, SQL, Python) with a strategic focus on Data Governance.
The position involves collaborative work with business and technology areas.
The project has an initial duration of 6 months, with the possibility of renewal.
The work modality is 100% remote, and the hiring will be as a contractor with payment in dollars.
Requirements:
The candidate should have 2 to 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in related roles.
Demonstrable experience in Data Quality processes, including monitoring, validation, and remediation.
Experience with tools such as Informatica Data Quality, Talend, Great Expectations, or dbt is required.
Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and advanced SQL usage is necessary.
Practical knowledge of Python for data transformation and validation tasks is essential.
Experience collaborating in the implementation of Data Governance frameworks is required.
Familiarity with at least one governance tool such as Collibra, Alation, Azure Purview, or AWS DataZone is necessary.
Strong attention to quality, detail, and compliance is expected.
The candidate should possess effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical areas.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
Autonomy and proactivity in agile and remote environments are required.
An interest in promoting a culture of reliable and accessible data is important.
