The Libertex Group is seeking a Data Engineer to design and implement ETL processes using modern dbt technology.
The role involves developing and maintaining data warehouses (DWH), data marts, and dashboards.
The Data Engineer will deliver clean, reliable datasets through modeling, transformation, testing, deployment, and documentation.
Responsibilities include collaborating with team members, building and maintaining data integrations, developing and transforming data using dbt models, creating automated tests, and maintaining documentation for models and tests.
The position requires designing and implementing regular data pipelines and optimizing data warehouse performance while applying best practices in data engineering.
The work environment is located near the Montenegrin sea or mountains.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in a data engineering role working with MSSQL Server.
Strong SQL skills, particularly in T-SQL, are required, with expertise in writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and ensuring data integrity.
A proven track record in database design, query optimization, performance tuning, and implementing partitioning strategies is necessary.
Applicants should have a solid understanding of database management, data migrations, and best practices for large-scale systems.
At least 1 year of experience in developing, managing, and optimizing data models and transformations using dbt is required.
The ability to design and implement robust, maintainable data pipelines in dbt to ensure data accuracy and reliability is essential.
Proficiency in designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines and transformations is expected.
Experience in data modeling and delivering clean, well-documented datasets to end users is also required.
