Oura is seeking a Data Engineer for a 6-month fixed-term role within the Research Operations team.
The mission of Oura is to empower individuals to realize their inner potential through insights about sleep, activity, and readiness.
The Data Engineer will work closely with research project managers and scientists to solve complex, real-world problems.
Responsibilities include building dashboards and visualization tools, improving data quality, designing and maintaining data pipelines, and supporting data migration to a new platform.
This position is remote within the US, with a preference for candidates on the East Coast, and offers hybrid options in San Francisco and San Diego.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling complex problems and making a significant impact in a short time frame.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of industry experience with data engineering tools such as Github, Python, SQL, dbt, and cloud platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or AWS.
A proven track record of successful data migrations or platform transitions is required.
Comfort with building dashboards using tools like Tableau, Quicksight, or Hex is necessary.
Fluency in the storage and visualization of multi-modal time series data is essential.
Candidates should possess a deep curiosity about human research studies and be flexible with scheduling for occasional global team calls outside normal business hours.
