Join SADA as a Data Engineer (ESS) to ensure effective handling of customer support issues.
Work with skilled support engineers to provide Google Cloud Platform Data Engineering solutions, including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Google Cloud Monitoring, and related services.
Provide technical assistance and guidance to team members and customers, update knowledge articles, and improve the ServiceNow incident management system.
Act as a SADA ambassador to clients and participate in on-call rotations.
Collaborate effectively with other SADA work groups, partners, and customers.
This is primarily a customer-facing role, working closely with SADA’s Customer Experience team to execute recommendations.
Required travel is 10% to customer sites, conferences, and related events.
Ongoing onboarding and training will include a first-week orientation followed by a 90-day onboarding schedule.
Requirements:
Google Professional Data Engineer Certified or able to complete certification within the first 45 days of employment.
A secondary Google Cloud certification in any other specialization is required.
Must have 3+ years of experience writing software in at least two languages such as SQL, Python, Java, Scala, or Go.
Experience in supporting customers in 24/7 environments is preferred.
Must have experience with systems monitoring/alerting, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
Experience with BI tools like Tableau or Looker is advantageous.
Experience working with Google Support is required.
A consultative mindset is necessary to build rapport with customers and provide accurate solutions.
