  • The position is for a Senior Data Engineer who will lead by example in data engineering practices and demonstrate expertise in technologies such as Python, SQL, dbt, Snowflake, Airflow, and Kafka.
  • The role involves mentoring data engineering teams, rebuilding the team culture, and driving continuous learning and improvement.
  • Responsibilities include building deployment pipelines, collaborating with leadership on data engineering vision, refactoring data infrastructure, and advocating for modern data engineering practices.
  • The Senior Data Engineer will also manage timelines, resources, and risks effectively while delivering significant initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Candidates must have extensive experience (4+ years) in data engineering, particularly in leading teams and initiatives.
  • Proven expertise in data engineering technologies such as SQL, Python, dbt, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Kafka, and Airflow is essential.
  • A strong understanding of modern data engineering practices, including data modeling, ETL processes, data quality assurance, and data pipeline orchestration is required.
  • Experience with data engineering tooling and platforms like Databricks and Snowflake is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills are necessary, along with a record of leading collaborative and high-performing data engineering teams.
  • Candidates should be able to quickly learn and adapt to innovative data technologies as needed.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning is important.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization is required.
