  • The Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining robust data processing solutions within the healthcare analytics platform.
  • This role focuses on developing T-SQL stored procedures, managing data transformations, and supporting the reporting infrastructure.
  • The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server and T-SQL development, with a passion for working with healthcare data.
  • Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining T-SQL stored procedures for data processing and transformation, designing and optimizing SQL Server databases for healthcare analytics workflows, and building data extraction and transformation processes using raw T-SQL.
  • The Data Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions, support data quality initiatives, troubleshoot data processing issues, and learn to utilize the myDBR reporting tool for creating reports and visualizations.
  • Additional responsibilities include assisting in developing healthcare claims processing workflows, participating in code reviews, maintaining documentation for data processes, monitoring and optimizing database performance for large healthcare datasets, and supporting ad-hoc data analysis requests from stakeholders.
  • Applicants must have work authorization in the US that does not require future visa sponsorship.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in data engineering or database development.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL programming is essential.
  • Experience writing complex stored procedures, functions, and triggers is necessary.
  • A solid understanding of database design principles and optimization techniques is required.
  • Candidates should have experience with data transformation and ETL processes using T-SQL.
