The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, building, and scaling the core data infrastructure to support data-driven decision-making across various teams including engineering, finance, marketing, sales, product, and operations.
Responsibilities include architecting and building scalable data pipelines, managing and optimizing the Redshift Serverless data warehouse, developing and scaling dbt projects for clean data models, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data consistency, establishing best practices for data integrity, integrating critical tooling, and championing data governance standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Senior Analytics Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment where systems were built from scratch.
Deep expertise in data warehousing, with a preference for Redshift Serverless, and a strong understanding of performance optimization.
Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python for data pipelines and scripting.
Hands-on experience with data modeling and transformation workflows using dbt.
Familiarity with modern data stack tools, including event streaming/ETL platforms like RudderStack and data orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
Solid understanding of core AWS services, including S3, Lambda, IAM, and Glue.
Experience with data from major ad platforms and marketing automation tools is preferred.
Familiarity with BI tools like AWS QuickSight, Tableau, or Looker is preferred.
Experience with data governance and security in a regulated industry like FinTech is preferred.
Candidates must be located in US timezones.
Compensation will be based on location and experience, including base salary, equity, and benefits.
Benefits:
The remote pay range for this role is between $100,000 and $200,000 USD, depending on location and experience.
