As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure and pipelines.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and revenue, to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and reliability for business decisions.
Your role will involve building scalable data pipelines using Python, Spark, and Airflow to transfer data into the data lake.
You will define and implement long-term technology strategies and innovation roadmaps in data engineering.
You will provide technical leadership for the data engineering team and work with various teams to maintain data warehouse integrity.
Collaboration with upstream engineering groups and data recipients will be essential to enhance data generation and create user-friendly data models.
You will contribute to shared data engineering tools and standards and promote best practices across the company.
Requirements:
You must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data.
Expertise in SQL and proficiency in one or more programming languages, ideally Python, Java, or Scala, is required.
Experience with ETL tools and frameworks such as Apache Spark and Apache Airflow is necessary.
You should have experience in data modeling, data architecture design, and ETL pipelines.
Familiarity with batching and streaming data infrastructure is essential.
Experience with data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau is preferred.
You should thrive in fast-moving and dynamic environments.
A degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required.
