The Senior Data Engineer will implement robust data infrastructure, collaborate with cross-functional teams, build core data pipelines, store data optimally, and support machine learning models.
This role is an individual contributor position responsible for defining and implementing a strategic vision for data engineering.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in data engineering is required.
Proven experience building data infrastructure using Spark with Scala for at least 3 years is essential.
Familiarity with data lakes, cloud warehouses, and various storage formats is necessary.
Strong proficiency in AWS services is required.
Expertise in SQL for data manipulation and extraction is needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Experience in adtech, familiarity with Elastic Map Reduce (EMR), and knowledge of data table formats like Apache Iceberg and Delta are preferred.
Previous experience building out a Data Engineering function and working closely with Data Science teams on machine learning pipelines is also beneficial.
