The Data Integrations Engineer will work across engineering and customer success to facilitate customer integration with Timely's scheduling technology.
Responsibilities include owning data ingestion, transformation, and export between district systems and Timely's data model.
The engineer will collaborate with customer success, SIS representatives, and district IT staff to plan integration requirements.
The role involves meeting with customers to execute integration workflows and troubleshoot challenges, which may require some travel.
The engineer will work with the broader engineering team to generalize data ingestion and export processes.
Establishing processes and institutional knowledge around data integrations with different districts is also a key responsibility.
The engineer will support team growth and onboarding of new members to serve more customers.
Requirements:
Candidates should have experience working with school and district data as an educator, administrator, or IT staff member, with a preference for those with school scheduling and programming experience.
Prior experience in implementing data ingestion, transformation, cleaning, and export through various means, including CSV-based integrations and service APIs, is required.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Python or Typescript) and over one year of experience with data query and analysis technologies (such as SQL, Python Pandas, Bigquery) in a client-facing role is necessary.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams are essential.
Experience in mentoring, interviewing, and growing technical team members is preferred.
Candidates should be excited about stepping into an early-stage startup role, demonstrating urgency of execution and a willingness to take on a breadth of responsibilities.
This role is remote, but candidates in the New York City or Boston metropolitan areas are preferred.
