  • Establishing processes and institutional knowledge around data integrations with different districts is also a key responsibility.
  • The engineer will support team growth and onboarding of new members to serve more customers.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have experience working with school and district data as an educator, administrator, or IT staff member, with a preference for those with school scheduling and programming experience.
  • Prior experience in implementing data ingestion, transformation, cleaning, and export through various means, including CSV-based integrations and service APIs, is required.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Python or Typescript) and over one year of experience with data query and analysis technologies (such as SQL, Python Pandas, Bigquery) in a client-facing role is necessary.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams are essential.
  • Experience in mentoring, interviewing, and growing technical team members is preferred.
  • Candidates should be excited about stepping into an early-stage startup role, demonstrating urgency of execution and a willingness to take on a breadth of responsibilities.
  • This role is remote, but candidates in the New York City or Boston metropolitan areas are preferred.
