Remote Data Platform Engineer, Business Intelligence

Description:

• We are seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join our team and power the World's connections.
• In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems using modern data engineering tools and techniques.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for analytics and decision-making processes.
• This position requires deep expertise in handling large-scale data systems, including Snowflake, Kafka, dbt, Airflow, and other modern ELT/Reverse ETL technologies.
• Key responsibilities include designing and building scalable data pipelines, implementing and optimizing data models, building efficient ELT processes, enabling operational analytics through Reverse ETL solutions, and managing data integration across multiple systems.
• You will also leverage orchestration tools to automate workflows, collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts, and implement data governance policies.

Requirements:

• You must have experience with Snowflake, including design, optimization, and query performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for streaming data is required.
• Proficiency in dbt for transforming data and creating reusable models is necessary.
• Expertise in Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools is essential.
• Knowledge of ELT and Reverse ETL principles is required.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL is necessary.
• Experience working with modern data ecosystems, including cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), is required.
• You should have experience building and managing data warehouses and dimensional modeling.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills to tackle complex data engineering challenges are essential.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are required.
