Muon Space is seeking a Data Platform Software Engineer to build the engine that powers insights from their proprietary constellation of Earth-observation satellites aimed at addressing climate change.
The role involves designing, building, and operating a reliable, container-based platform that hosts critical data and machine learning pipelines.
The engineer will support science and engineering teams by providing scalable cloud resources and modern DevOps practices.
Responsibilities include scaling and maintaining Muon’s data workflow orchestration platform, collaborating on and improving data and ML pipelines, providing expert support for data platform solutions, and working with satellite and payload engineering teams to establish data requirements for MuonSpace data products.
Requirements:
Applicants must be U.S. persons, defined as U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.
A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience is required.
Candidates must have experience building and maintaining a container orchestration software platform.
Proficiency in using CI/CD processes for software and GitOps processes for infrastructure is necessary.
Experience with modern observability technologies for application and infrastructure monitoring is required.
Candidates should have experience interacting with internal and external customers and service providers.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $143K - $213K, depending on skills, geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
In addition to salary, the compensation package includes equity compensation.
