  • Actian is seeking a Platform Support Engineer to provide exceptional service and support to customers and partners using their Data Platform, Data Intelligence Platform, and Data Observability Platform.
  • The role involves delivering top-notch customer service by demonstrating a high level of service aptitude, product knowledge, and responsiveness.
  • Responsibilities include providing customer support via phone and email, managing support cases using Salesforce Service Cloud Reporting Portal, and investigating customer problems.
  • The engineer will respond to complex support calls, install and troubleshoot software, research product defects, and set up problem recreation environments.
  • Collaboration with various engineering teams is essential to expedite the resolution of customer issues.
  • The position requires troubleshooting data integration projects and verifying fixes with customers.
  • The engineer will provide 24X7 support, create Knowledge Documents, and contribute to the Knowledge base and community forums.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3-5 years of technical support experience as a Support Engineer, with strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is required for effective communication with global customers.
  • A strong customer service mindset, excellent analytic and debugging skills, and the ability to self-learn new technologies are essential.
  • Experience with cloud platform technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google ecosystems is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Data Discovery and Data Catalog tools, Data Observability and Data Quality tools, and database administration skills with various relational and analytics technologies is required.
  • Candidates should have experience in operating systems management (MS Windows and Linux) and programming language experience for writing small test cases for REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience troubleshooting connectivity issues and familiarity with BI/ETL technologies is important.
  • Understanding of Data Governance and Data Warehousing fundamentals is required, with experience in Salesforce and Jira considered a plus.
